One of Carrie Olsen's most amazing talents is in the field of portraiture. Her studies in medical school as a physician's assistant gave her knowledge of anatomy which is obvious in her work. That knowledge coupled with a real gift of imagination and skill in recreating what she sees make her an incomparable portrait artist. She can create portraits of clay or bronze, and has used her unique technique of combining clay and cast aluminum for a truly singular type of portrait. For specific questions on portraiture, please contact the artist at the link below. Prices vary according to the size and the medium used. She can work from photographs, but the best results come from sittings. A few examples of her work follow.
